What happens in the coaching process?

Coaching sessions are typically held over the phone, or in one to one meetings, with your coach. Initially time will be spent understanding what you want to gain from coaching, and then during each subsequent session, you will identify a topic to be explored. With your coach's help you will set a goal to be achieved for the session, and develop a set of actions that you will take to achieve your goal.

OK, so what does the coach actually do?

The role of the coach is to listen carefully to what the client says and ask appropriate and powerful questions to help the client identify the way forward. Sometimes the coach will use simple tools to help with this process. The coach will never judge, criticise, or advise you; their role is to unlock the potential within you, raising your own awareness of your talents and strengths. In this way you develop to be better able to make progress by yourself in the future.

 What about  confidentiality?

The trust between the coach and the client is crucial to the success of the coaching process. All information discussed during personal coaching sessions is treated as confidential and will not be disclosed to anyone else without the client's expressed written permission. Additionally, the coach will not disclose that they are in a coaching relationship with the client, without the client's agreement.
